Bank South Pacific is supporting the Cancer Unit of the National Referral Hospital in Honiara with a donation of $10,000 which will be used for Cancer Research.

BSP believes in supporting the communities through community initiative in various focus areas and Health is one focus areas.

"Unfortunately all of us know of a family member or friend who has had cancer and BSP staff are proud to have raised this amount to assist the NRH Cancer Unit," said BSP SI Country Head, David Anderson.

"BSP would also like to challenge more businesses to get involved with Pink-tober in 2020," Anderson went on to say when presenting a check of $10,000 on Tuesday, 25th February, 2020.

BSP observes Pink-tober in the month of October each year, where staff members wear pink and make small donations to fund cancer research works.

"BSP staff have been wearing Pink for Pink-tober for 5 years now, initially there were some resistance from the male staff in wearing Pink , we now have an almost 100% participation from all staff," Anderson added.
