A vacancy now exits in the Corporate Banking Business Unit in Honiara, Solomon Islands, reporting to the Relationship Manager. The successful incumbent will be responsible in retaining relationships with customers through developing an understanding of their business, providing professional advice and taking ownership for seamless service deliver.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Prepare appropriate sales proposal documents; develop submissions and provide necessary background information and research.
- Conduct cash flow, risk and financial statements analysis including balance sheet reviews and completion of serviceability worksheets.
- Provide Relationship Managers and customers with insights to identify risks associated with portfolios and financial requests.
- Conduct regular monitoring of customer portfolios to identify any potential risks to the Bank.
- Proactively contact customers to explain and/or request financial documents for Portfolio Risk Review (RRR) while managing ongoing portfolio oversight and maintenance.
- Proactively engage with customers to discuss additional financial needs, identify cross-selling opportunities, and tailor services to help build their portfolio and business.
- Conduct pricing for term deposits.
- Efficiently execute service requests and follow up with customers and internal teams to ensure timely resolutions, enhancing overall customer satisfaction.
- Provide accurate documentation to support lending requests; dedicate time weekly to proactively contact customers within the portfolio.
- Ensure customer files are maintained in compliance with the bank’s requirements for easy follow-up.
- Prepare customer documentation, aiming for first-time accuracy to allow for faster processing.
- Efficiently manage general customer accounts by facilitating account openings, processing service requests and identifying further opportunities for customer engagement.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance & Accounting or related fields.
- 3 – 5 Years’ experience in a Lending environment or similar.
- Excellent communication skills both in oral and written English.
- Highly developed technical skills in Microsoft Applications.
- Intermediate Technical skills in Credit Processes, Risk Management and Numerical/ Financial.
- Basic Technical skills in Policies & Procedures and Compliance/ Legislation.
